Lera Doneghy Wears it the Way She Wants

I call Lera Doneghy the Gehazi customer who just doesn’t care. And, she never misses a beat in proving that with every ounce of her fashion acumen. It gives me goosebumps writing about it because I couldn’t love her more.

She knows exactly what she likes. And that means if she likes an aqua blue necklace, but is wearing an olive green and brown outfit, guess what she is going to do. Exactly! She is going to mix it up and rock it however she wants. She buys Gehazi because she likes it and not because she has something it matches.

During a recent Gehazi video presentation, I showed Lera a red and yellow necklace. Immediately she said: “Ohhhhh, that would be sharp on navy blue.”

My mouth dropped open and I exclaimed, “You totally get it. You understand the sway of Gehazi. It doesn’t matter what you pair it with, it still rocks!”

Some fashion mavens go for the match, even the extreme match of never moving out of one color or style zone. If it’s blue, you’re going to see blue from the top to the bottom, unless they turn to those all- too-predictable neutrals.

For eclectic and selective customers, like Lera, they relish the freedom of taking their fashion whims to another level by mixing accessories and attire based on their own self-expression at any given moment.

Often, we see that kind of styling described as Bohemian or Boho, which is known as a free-spirited approach to dressing that allows for more carefree and eclectic styles.

We call it the Gehazi Don’t Care style, because customers like Lera know that the power of Gehazi is the accessories; not what they’re paired with. It’s sort of like being carefree enough to wear white after Labor Day. Wear Gehazi any way, any time and with any style you wish.

One a recent very sunny day, I asked Lera is she was getting compliments on her eclectic Gehazi pieces. She replied, "Did the sun come up today? I wore a piece to the office and someone told me that I could go, but leave the jewelry there!"

Do yourself a fashion favor. Be like, Lera!
